Smart Coatings of Illinois is owned by Dakotah Scott. Dakotah has moved from installing concrete coatings to now owning and operating Smart Coatings of Illinois. The Smart Coatings of Illinois business services central Illinois and West Central Indiana. Dakotah has been active within his community, volunteering and assisting central Illinois.

HOW IT WORKS

GRIND IT

Prepare, repair, and vacuum the concrete surface to ensure the strongest possible adhesion.

REPAIR IT

We apply 100% polyurea mender to patch up any cracks in the concrete flooring.

COAT IT

A self-priming polyurea is applied to form a secure bond with the floor, ensuring that the coating will not chip or peel.

FLAKE IT

A polymer flake is hand-broadcasted generously to provide even color and texture to the floor.

SCRAPE IT

Excess flakes are scraped and vacuumed to prepare them for the final coat.

SEAL IT

Finally, we apply a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Once applied, your new floor will be ready for light foot traffic in just 12 hours.
